Don’t look too close, but the candy cane’s done.

Quick update tonight - it’s very cold and I can’t sit or stand for prolonged periods due to the vasectomy. But I finished this candy cane. It actually kicked my ass - combination of recovery pain and drinking too much coffee making my hand shake.

Had to repaint it in red twice. Struggled yesterday, but got it done today. Not perfect, but good enough for tabletop.

Lego Tip: Whatnot App

If you like Lego or think about getting into it, I’ve been exploring the Whatnot app. At first I thought it was a huge scam - definitely wouldn’t buy trading cards from it (lots of sketchy stuff there).

But there are tons of retail stores using Whatnot to liquidate inventory. You can get crazy deals on bulk Lego - I just got hundreds of pieces for literally two or three bucks at a time.

Check out Whatnot for actual physical products. Just avoid the cards.

D&D Lego System Progress

I’m getting really close to having the D&D Lego system fully fleshed out in my head. Waiting for some bulk orders and parts to come in before I show it off. Then I can build out some layouts and bases and actually demonstrate the ideas I’m thinking.

The Streak Continues

I’ve been building KDM models when I can - slowly going because I can’t sit upright at my usual hobby area. Should be good to stand and get back in the game by Monday.

Even as cheesy as it is - two days of painting a candy cane still counts. Paint on model. Streak alive.

If I can hobby through RSV, bronchitis, pneumonia, and an emergency room trip, I can do it through this. See you tomorrow.

Don’t look too close, but the candy cane’s done. Hey, what’s up? Another quick one tonight. Uh, it’s very cold. I cannot sit or stand for very prolonged periods of time right now because of the vasectomy, but I finished this candy cane.

It actually kicked my ass. And I think it was more of like a combination of uh like I said, I can’t sit or stand or it hurts and uh and also a I just drank a ton of coffee today. and just got hand was going crazy, but I got it done. I had to I had to paint it over I had to paint that over in red like twice as you probably could tell in the video. I guess yesterday I was struggling, but candy cane is good.

I’m pretty happy with it. Uh here’s a better picture of it. So, uh it’s not perfect, but you know, it’s it’s good enough for tabletop and it’s good enough to be mostly done with it. I still I’d probably do something with these vents eventually, but like I said, this will be somebody who I’m just constantly going back to. Um I’ve been just chilling on on the couch.

I’ve been reading a lot of of RPG books, a lot of those books, a lot of Dwood stuff. >> Okay, one thing real tip that’s actually hopefully it makes this video somewhat helpful and useful to watch. But, it looks great for for like actual real product. I’ve actually I’ve been building the KDM models. It’s like a little bit slow going just because like I said, I can’t like sit upright and I can’t set up my usual hobby areas. But I’m hoping I’ll have all the new KDM stuff built uh tomorrow and then hopefully I’ll be good enough by like tomorrow night and I’ll definitely be good enough by Monday according to what my doctor told me to be able to like stand and actually get back into the game. So, it’s been cool.

Um I definitely needed kind of this rest this weekend just with everything that’s been going on. So, I was just taking it easy, just relaxing. Um, still making sure I get my my goal of painting every day in. Um, even as cheesy as it is, I painted two days of painting candy cane, still put still put paint on the model. But, uh, I don’t know.

That’s it. That’s a quick update. Um, the cool thing is I’m getting really close to having like the D&D Lego system fully fleshed out of my head. Been working on that and I’m I’m looking at it off off screen. So, I I’m waiting for a couple things to come in before I like really show it off.

I got like some bulk some bulk orders and parts coming in. Um, and I’ll be able to actually like build out some layouts and bases soon and actually like kind of show off the ideas I’m thinking. So, I’m excited for that. But just a quick one, quick hobby update. Uh, keeping it going, keeping the streak going.
