How I Picked the Winner

I built my own picker using the YouTube API so it’s fair. Grabbed all the comments from all videos, put them in a spreadsheet with one entry per unique person (regardless of how many times you commented), then used a random number picker.

1 through 46… and congratulations to number 24: Vegas 85!

Back to Normal

Woke up, came down before the workday. Started working on the browns and leathers using the same concept—Decaying Brownish Decay, then white dots to highlight. Finished the pipe, belt, all that stuff.

The book and pipe smoke are going to be where the bulk of my effort goes on this guy.

Cleaning Day

Looking around and I don’t even know where to start. It’s getting too crazy again. I didn’t finish cleaning last time and it bit me in the ass.

The New eBay System

I’m setting up a dedicated eBay area. As I pick stuff up, if it’s time to sell, I’m posting it immediately—not waiting or telling myself I’ll do it all at once.

Take pictures, post on eBay, then put it somewhere safe until someone buys it. All my other methods haven’t worked, so changing it up.

Mage Knight Boosters

Opened another set of Mighty Boosters. What are the odds I’d get three orcs? But also—this is a competitive dungeon team. If I’d pulled this for my first video, I definitely would have made it through.

These would have been killer picks for Mage Knight Dungeons back in the day.

Found My Xacto Knife

I was looking for this thing everywhere, driving myself crazy. Almost ready to throw in the towel and buy another one. Forgot I was building models at the shop.

Almost Got the Table Clear

If you saw the last video, I’ve almost got a 4x4 clean enough to play on. Just need to put away the paper marbling stuff and Mage Knight collection.

War Machine Battle Reports Coming

Gonna try it out soon. Probably start with unpainted armies and terrain and slowly build it up—don’t want to say I’ll wait until everything’s painted and then never do it.

Ultimate Dungeon Terrain: DONE

I’d left the rim unfinished for so long. Couldn’t figure out what to do with it. Finally decided to just paint it black like a base rim—and I think I like it.

Got to fix some spots where spray paint drifted through, but the Ultimate Dungeon Terrain tile is finally done.

What’s up? It’s time to do the giveaway finally for this. Thanks all of you for getting me to 100 subs. It’s pretty cool. Uh never expected to even get that many or this many people commenting.

So, it’s really cool. Uh I’m building I’m using the YouTube API to build my own uh picker. So, it’s going to be fair. What I’m going to do, I’m just going to grab all the comments ever uh from all the videos using YouTube’s API. And then that’ll give me uh just a spreadsheet.

And then I’ll use a random picker on the spreadsheet. So, let’s get into that so we can see who wins. Oh, and uh and if you if you win, either like you can email me at mattthehobby. com or I’ll put a link to my Discord below. I think the world has enough Discord servers, but I do have one, too.

Uh there’s a couple of us hanging out in there. I don’t think I’ve ever talked about it. Uh maybe once or twice, or I’ve talked about it on other stuff, uh but never on the actual channel, but I do have a Discord if you want to join it. Links in the description below. I probably should have talked about that months ago, but anyway, uh let’s get to it.

Okay, so I just pulled a list of of every single individual unique person who has commented. Uh putting this in just a spreadsheet. Uh got to delete this cell real quick. And now uh this is everybody who has commented. Just one entry on how many times you commented.

And then using Google’s number picker 1 through 46. Boom. Congrats. Number 24. Uh which uh Vegas 85.

Uh, I just said I started working on the browns and the leathers on this guy. Uh, pretty much like same concept. I started just kind of toning the book. I’m gonna do a lot more work.

But I got to make a dent in this today. Uh it’s getting too too crazy again. Um I didn’t finish it last time and it bit me in the ass. So, I really just want to stop that again. Uh maybe I can actually start using that green screen sitting back there to do silly things.

But uh got to get busy. I thought I was going to finish the infinity dude today, but actually like this is more important. I got my painting in. Um I think I think I got to start by getting a dedicated eBay area. So as I’m coming across like all this most of the stuff I want to sell, a lot of the stuff directly behind me I want to sell.

A lot of the stuff over here I want to sell. Uh so I got to get a dedicated eBay area. And what I’m going to do is like as I’m picking stuff up, uh, if it’s time to sell it, I’m just going to immediately post it on eBay. I’m not going to keep moving it around or waiting or telling myself I’ll do it all at once. It might not be as efficient eBay posting wise, but it’s going to be a lot more efficient actually like getting stuff out of here, getting done.

So, I’ll take the pictures, post it on eBay, and then I’ll set up another area somewhere safe where I can I can put it out of the way uh until somebody buys it. But, I think that’s how I got to do it cuz what I all the methods I’ve tried to do before are not working. So, I got to change it up and do something different. So, going to start by cleaning off this table behind. Just open up that other set of Mighty Boosters.

And what one, what are the odds that I would get three orcs, but also like this is a this is a competitive dungeon team. Like, if I would have pulled this uh for my first video, I definitely would have made it through. Uh this is pretty like this is a team I would have actually like ran. I mean, it’s not like super competitive. Uh but like this guy is, this guy can be uh and this guy’s actually really good.

So, I take that back. That would be like if I pulled this in a tournament, I’d probably win it back in the day. Pretty crazy. Uh no uniques though. But uh that would have been a really solid mage spawn pool uh to go in to.

So that those would have been like some killer. I didn’t open these up, so I don’t know what those are. Uh but this would have been an awesome threepack draft for Might Dungeons back in the day. I was looking for this damn Xacto knife everywhere. Everywhere.

But we’ll give it a shot here. Not not today, but sometime soon cuz I got the table clear. >> I almost got the full table cleared off. I just need to get that last bit of stuff from from the paper marbling and my Mighty stuff put away and I got the whole table cleared off. That’s a pretty huge success.

And talking about >> I finished it.
