What’s wrong with my lungs

Today I’m bringing out Gloom, a tarot-deck RPG zine by Sam Helms that just dropped on Itch. I’m all about tarot deck systems, so I’m pretty excited — still reading through it.

Still trying to survive whatever’s going on with my lungs. Went to the doctor — it’s not an infection, not an illness. It’s a real, real problem with my lungs. They gave me some stuff that’s helping, but I still get about 30 seconds to a minute of talking before I have to go breathe.

So tonight is just working on Infinity stuff again. Tomorrow Infinity is going to get finished — that’ll be a cooler video. Today I’m really just trying to survive.

What I’m excited about after the commission

Working through this Infinity project, I’ve been building a list of stuff I’m really excited to do once the commissions are done. Dusk is up after Infinity, then a lot of cool indie projects.

Crown of Athas — going kind of full speed into this. Really enjoying it. It doesn’t use miniatures — just really fun.

Man Alone Prima Materia dice. I’ve been carrying these. Tiger’s eye, obsidian, and one I forgot. They’re stone, very high quality. I just keep them in my pocket and play with them. Awesome dice — but they’re not for rolling on a table. Those are all the alchemical symbols. Greeks, alchemy, Carl Jung — three of my four all-time favorite things.

I’ve been reading the Man Alone book, it’s a very dense, very cool thing. Going to do a full produced video on these once I really know the system.

Orc the Brand

When I picked up the limited edition Smash Bash at Mini Freaks — sculpted by Tyler from Billion Dollar Clown Farm. He just launched Orc the Brand (orcthebrand.com), and they have a new game out called Monster Friends: The Battle for New Florida.

The sculpts are awesome. That perfect cute and weird zone. A little grimdark, a whole lot of brightness — I don’t even want to call it grimdark. The handcrafted terrain mixed with Monster Fight Club terrain looks so good. The game rules released so far are pretty awesome. Definitely check that out.

Foam board haul

I picked up a ton of foam sheets. I don’t know what happened to pink insulation foam, but everywhere local is just selling this green stuff. Looks the same, feels the same, maybe sturdier.

I got a 4x8 sheet cut down into 2x2s. We’re going to make Necromunda boards. Relic Blade boards. Flames of Orion boards. Probably that new game from Orc the Brand.

Acid reflux is apparently destroying my lungs

Don’t look at my ceiling — I have to repair it from a leak still. The fact that I can walk from one end of this room to the other and not feel like I’m dying is good progress.

Apparently I’m just so stressed all the time that acid reflux is damaging my lungs. I have acid reflux and something is damaging my lungs. I say that sitting in the 3D printer room, but it’s not the printer — when I’m really printing I wear a mask, and it’s not running right now. That’s the exhaust fan you’re hearing.

This is just a video marking that I feel better today after a whole lot of days feeling worse and worse. See you tomorrow when I’ll actually do some painting, finish the Infinity commission, and move on to new horizons.
