Black Site Studios
US terrain maker turned games publisher. Started in 2015 making MDF terrain, now publishes Don't Look Back and Outlaws: The Curse of Sherwood Forest.
Black Site Studios started in late 2015 as a custom terrain studio, making MDF gaming terrain, and says it is now the largest pre-painted terrain maker in the USA. It has since moved into miniatures and publishing. Its first game was Don’t Look Back by Matt Burns in 2020, and other games like Lunar and Doug Cundall’s monster hunting game Hametsu followed. Burns also wrote its solo and co-op Robin Hood game, Outlaws: The Curse of Sherwood Forest. Next up is Hallowtide, a black powder eldritch fantasy skirmish game credited to Chris Bunge.
It also puts out short experimental zine games, like the solo survival game Last Mile (2025).
Black Site also publishes the second edition of This Is Not a Test, the post-apocalyptic skirmish game, under licence from its designer Joey McGuire.
Black Site links two Discord invites from its own pages: one from the Outlaws page and one from the Don’t Look Back page.
