Joey McGuire

Designer

Founder of World's End Publishing and the designer of This Is Not a Test, the 28mm post-apocalyptic skirmish game.

Joey McGuire runs World’s End Publishing and wrote This Is Not a Test, a post-apocalyptic skirmish game that debuted in 2015. It was his first solo publication. The second edition is published by Black Site Studios under licence, and McGuire still owns the game.

He got into miniatures in 1997, after walking into a game store and finding the Games Workshop catalogue, and has been painting, building terrain and writing his own rules since. He has also worked on projects for Rattrap Productions.

Games

Painted This Is Not a Test miniatures in red smoke: a woman in a long coat and peaked cap waves her arm with a submachine gun in hand, a police officer crouches by a fallout shelter on the left, and two blurred figures in green gear charge in from the right under a red radio mast

This Is Not a Test

Joey McGuire's 28mm post-apocalyptic skirmish game, now in a second edition from Black Site Studios. Warbands of raiders, mutants, caravanners and more fight over the ruins of the Tri-State Wasteland, with d10 tests and a full campaign.
