Charles Murton
Co-founder of the Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare and co-writer of In Her Majesty's Name and Blood Eagle. Spent his career in the Civil Service at the Ministry of Defence.
Charles Murton spent his whole career in the Civil Service, working for the Ministry of Defence, including professional wargaming for the military. He took early retirement in 2016. In Her Majesty’s Name was his first professional writing job, and role-playing games are his first love.
He co-owns The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare with Craig Cartmell, and the two wrote Blood Eagle, its Dark Ages skirmish game. He’s also a competitive target shooter, which is why the firearms in their rules are his department.
