Kicking off my Warmachine Dusk army—starting with the Frozen and Forgotten battlegroup and planning out the painting approach.
The Dusk Army Begins
It’s official—I’m starting a new Warmachine army. Dusk has been calling to me for a while now, and I finally pulled the trigger on the Frozen and Forgotten battlegroup.
What’s in the Box
The Frozen and Forgotten set gives you a solid starting point for a Dusk force. Great models with that signature aesthetic that drew me to the faction in the first place.
The Painting Plan
I’m still working out exactly how I want to approach painting these. The faction has a very specific look, and I want to do it justice while also making it my own.
Getting Organized
Part of starting a new army project is getting everything organized—sprues sorted, build order planned out, painting scheme decided. Laying that groundwork now will make the whole process smoother.
Looking Forward
Excited to dive into this project. It’s been a while since I started a completely new army from scratch, and there’s something energizing about that fresh start feeling.
Transcript
Today I started working on the new Frozen and Forgotten set from Steam Forge Games for War Machine. Uh this is the the new Warcaster uh Lenissa. I think I’m saying that right. Uh this model is in nine parts, which at first I was like, “Oh man, how am I going to do or why is this nine parts?” Uh but it was actually really fun to put together.
Uh the mold lines were very easy to pick off. And with these uh the way that Steam Forge does them, you just go in the order. So, A1, A2, A3, and then so on. You just move through all the sprus with no directions really needed. Uh, which is actually pretty cool.
And I I think I do actually really appreciate how they did this in so many parts because it’s a really cool model. Uh, I’m really excited to get this painted. And just look through these other sprews real quick. You can see pretty much everything is in like all these multiple parts, which again, at first I was like, why is it like that? But I think I’m going to it’s a lot of fun to build.
So, I’m pretty excited to dig into these. Uh, hoping to get the rest of them done tomorrow. But for the vlog today, just got her built. Cannot wait to get her painted.
