The last nail in the coffin

Quick update with the Infernals. Long story short: I’ll never get to play Warmachine again. Won’t get to play anything again — at least for the foreseeable future, and the foreseeable future is two to three years.

Career-wise things have changed. I guess it’s for the best. It’s mixed, you know. Everything is mixed.

I can’t play Mondays anymore. I can’t play Tuesdays. So Pillage is gone. Midgard is gone — those are actually the two projects I’ve been working on for myself, personally, not really on camera. The Normans and the Welsh are dead. The dream is dead. That’s why I haven’t gone back to them — I was painting those to play them. They weren’t really that fun to paint, you know, pretty basic. I’ll still finish them since they’re 99% done and I’ll throw them on the shelf.

But Pillage — I just can’t go anywhere to play.

Warmachine was supposed to have an event tomorrow. I can’t make that event. A lot of people apparently couldn’t make it, so it got cancelled.

Letting go

I just have to let it go. Instead of trying to figure out ways to make it work — it was hard enough before, and now it’s actually impossible because things have changed. On the days I could play, I don’t have any days I can play at all.

Throughout the whole time since I started this channel, this is something I’ve been battling with. But now I have the last nail in the coffin: there’s no hope of ever getting games in.

What’s next

I’m going to explore the solo world more, which I’d already kind of gone down. But really the focus is going back to painting. All painting all the time. A couple years to really focus on the brush and just give up trying to play.

It is what it is.

I’ll definitely talk about solo games — I’ll probably go down that route. But right now I won’t have time. It’s going to be a while before I can go down that route, just with the Infinity commission and the Dusk commission. Got like a month of painting and then I’ll reorient myself and figure out what’s next.
