Necromunda Kit Bashing Time

Going through the bits box and this guy looks very Rogue Trader-ish to me. He’s going to be an Ogryn. I think we’re going Venator gang because I have a ton of crazy kit bashes I want to do—totally 100% kit bashed is the plan.

Works in Progress from the Bits Box

Found a bunch of abandoned works in progress at the bottom of the bits box. One has a robe that’s like a highly sought-after conversion piece. Another is pretty much done—an Ungor inspired guy. I sculpted on a cloak with green stuff a long time ago, and I’m still kind of proud of him.

The Squat Prospectors Sprue

Just remembered I had a whole unopened box meant for Necromunda. I got it mostly for the weapons because I don’t actually like this version of the Squats—I like the Leagues of Votann much more. But the wheels are turning.

Mold Line Tip

Got those mold lines shaved off the tops, but there’s still stuff in the cracks. Using plastic cement to melt what’s left of the mold line down in those cracks.

The Kit Bash Results

Gun Guy: Didn’t even use the Prospector arms. Need to drill barrels but looks pretty sick.

Melee Ungor: Swapped out the gun on his back for a hammer pick thing. He’s got a strong hand and a tiny arm—doesn’t actually use the hammer, just carries it around because he likes it.

Servitor Guy: AdMech legs, old Crypt Ghouls torso, Chaos Cultist bolt pistol hand, Flesh Tearer chainsword (that’s why it’s longer than normal), AdMech head and back.

Flail Guy: Body and flail arm from old Chaos Cultist, belt across chest is pouches and grenades with green stuff, tiny arm is Crypt Ghouls, shoulder pad from Orcs kit, head is Ungor, pick is from Leagues of Votann.

We’ve got four ragtag guys—off to a good start!

We’re necromunda kit bashing, baby. Uh I was going through the bits box, and this guy looks very rogue traderish to me. Right. And right now, this is uh this is our other our member. He’s going to be an Augren.

I think we’re going to go the Ventor gang just because I have a ton of crazy kit bashes that I want to do. So, I think it’s going to be totally 100% kit bashed is my my plan. So, we’ll see what we end up. These are guys at the bottom of the big spot. Bitsbox.

They were all like works in progress that at some point along the way got abandoned that I think man these boys got a ton of cat hair on them. But uh I think I might have to pick these back up for this project. I’ve got so many different things I want to make. Uh I’ve really been going deep into uh this guy. This robe is like a key highly soughta conversion of it.

And then this guy this guy’s pretty much done. He’s like a like a Unore inspired guy. I think I can probably just use him as he is. I might take that gun off and just keep him a melee guy. But it looks so good.

I sculpted on like I had to do some green stuff work. It’s primed now. But uh actually looking at it, you can kind of tell where I had the green stuff stuff to sculpt in the cloak. Uh but this was very this was a long time ago. I’m still kind of proud of this guy.

So, yeah. Uh, he we we got two members, maybe three parts to make a fourth. Let’s see. Oh, there’s some goblins. Oh, look at those guys.

Uh, let’s see what we can get to. Just remembered I had a whole unopened box that’s actually meant for Necrounda. So, I guess I could play this game, but uh I really want to do a lot of conversions. And I don’t actually like I got this mostly for the weapons in it because I don’t I don’t actually like this version of the squats. I like the leagues of baton a lot more.

But uh the wheels are starting to turn. Got my clippers. Got my plastic cement. Got my deluxe with resin plastic cement. And I’ve got squat prospector sprew.

And uh just real quick off camera, I put together a normal Lego body. We’re after this iron head bolt gun. Here is uh the tip of the evening. Right, I’ve got those mold lines that I shaved off the tops, but there’s still stuff in the cracks. This is just that plastic cement.

And it’s very hard to do this onehanded. I’m just using that to melt what’s left of the mold line down in those cracks. Here we go. I ended up not even using uh Oh god. Hey, it’s frog time.

[laughter] I ended up not even using the Prospector arms. I think he looks pretty sick. Um, I need to do a little bit of clean up on the side right here. I’m just letting everything dry. Um, but I think and I got to draw barrels, obviously.

But, uh, this is pretty sick. So, there’s this guy or, uh, so on this guy, I I want him to be all melee, so I swapped out that, uh, gun on his back. Now, he’s got this hammer pick thing. Um, [snorts and clears throat] and he’s got he’s only got he’s got a strong hand. And then he’s got a little tiny arm.

So, I don’t know what he thinks he’s doing with that hammer, but he just he carries around with him because he likes it. He doesn’t actually use it. And this guy’s like more ungore than Beastman inspired. So, uh, we got three three rag tag guys. Um, I think we’ll probably have to do something to rough this guy up.

Uh, just so he fits in a little bit more, but we’re off to a good start. This guy who is like more kind of servtoresque. I think he’s going to fit in very well with our our augur guy. I’m going to do something with the backpack. I don’t know why I drilled that hole there, but I think he’s he’s going to be a pretty cool melee guy, too.

But there’s four here. And this guy, he’s admech legs. His torso is the old uh cry ghouls. I think they’re fleshy quartz guys now. This is a old chaos cultist bolt pistol hand.

And this is one of the chain swords from like a flesh terror kit. That’s why it’s a little bit longer than normal. And then the head and back are from like this admech parts. And I almost forgot this guy’s parts if uh if you were curious. His body and the flail arm are the old Chaos Cultist.

And then this like belt across his chest uh is just uh pouches and grenades with a with green stuff that goes around. This tiny arm is Crypt Ghouls. And the shoulder pad is from the Orc’s kit. It’s like one of the orc shoulders and his head is an Unore head. And then the pick is the Leagues of a Town kit.
