Do You Play Solo or Co-op RPGs and War Games?

A Realization Hitting Like a Ton of Bricks

Quick one tonight. I have a question that’s going to help me with my video for tomorrow: Do you play any co-op or solo games?

I’m looking to get into that world because I’ve realized something—the only hope I have of gaming is solo or co-op stuff I can do at home. I realized a couple days ago that competitive wargaming is over for me, but I’m not ready to give up on this thing I love.

My Solo Game Collection

Looking at my shelf, I actually have more solo content than I thought:

• Kingdom Death - Bought it for the miniatures, but now I’m thinking maybe I should give the actual game a shot
• Dragon Bane - Has a solo mode
• Moria for The One Ring with Strider Mode
• Forbidden Psalm and all the Mork Borg stuff
• Hobgoblin - Also has a solo mode, plus I have the cards
• Rangers of Shadow Deep - The very nice edition, though I can’t find it right now (two books are just missing)
• Gathering of Heroes - Somewhere…

The Path Forward

I want to do Dolmenwood solo. I had planned on just kind of playing around with that and eventually still doing full Dolmenwood parties, but I’ve also realized that for D&D, solo is the path forward for me—at least for a couple years with my current situation.

So now I’m thinking: let me embrace this solo world.

Looking for Recommendations

For my 30 regular viewers—are you doing solo stuff? Co-op stuff? I need good solo and co-op suggestions.

There’s a lot of books on my shelf that I got just to support indie authors doing their thing and to read over them. Now I’m thinking I should probably start checking these out and actually play them.

Tomorrow I’m planning a video that goes more into the solo gaming world. Let me know your recommendations.

All right, quick one tonight. Uh, I just got my my painting done. Working through backsmith. Really putting a lot of work in on the backside. Nothing really that cool yet.

And uh, just building like building and base coating today. But, uh, I have a question that’s going to help me with my video for tomorrow. Uh, anybody who sees this in time. Are do you guys play any co-op or solo games? Because I’m looking to kind of get into that world.

I’ve got Kingdom Death. Uh, what else do I have? I’ve got Dragon Bane up here, which I know is a solo mode. Uh, I got I got Moria. We got Moria for the one ring, so I know.

And I got Strider Mode. I got the PDF of Strider Mode, but I don’t think anything else on my shelf. I’ve got the I’ve got the good Iron Kingdoms RPG, but that’s like there’s I don’t think there’s like solo version of that. I mean, anything solo if you try hard enough, but I’m looking for like dedicated solo games. Uh, I swear I had more.

Let’s see. Oh, I have Forbidden Psalm. I’ve got all the Forbidden Psalm stuff. Morborg. I’ve got Hobgoblin, which I I’m actually someday whenever I get enough stuff painted, uh, I’m going to play this.

So, I’ve got a Hobgoblin, which also has a solo mode, and I’ve got the cards for Hobgoblin. So, in my head, I was thinking I didn’t have a lot of solo stuff, but apparently I do. And I also I know I have the like the limited edition. I don’t know if it’s limited edition, but I have the very nice edition of Rangers of Shadow Deep. Both of those.

Where do they go? They’re hiding from me. Okay, I’ve given up the search on Rangers of Shadow Deep. I got Ranger Shadow Deep and I’ve got a gathering of heroes somewhere. Somewhere.

But I don’t know. Anybody who’s doing solo stuff, let me know. Cuz I think the only hope I have of of gaming is solo or co-op stuff that I can do here. Uh, and I it’s a realization that’s kind of hitting me like a ton of bricks. But I’m not ready to give up on this thing that I love and I’m going to figure out a way to make it work.

But I think I definitely got to kind of give up. I realized a couple days ago that competitive wargaming is over for me, but I think wargaming as a whole is over for me, but I gotta explore this world of solo games. And I I was I want to do Dolwood solo, but I had planned on just kind of like playing around with that and eventually still doing full Dolomwood parties, but I’ve also kind of realized that for D and D solo is the path forward for me, at least for a couple years probably with my current situation. So now I’m like, let me let me embrace this solo world. I’m planning out a video that goes more into that for tomorrow.

Uh, today was kind of hectic and but now I just want to know like my for my 30 viewers, my 30 regular viewers, are you guys doing solo stuff? You guys doing co-op stuff? Uh, I have Kingdom Death. I have the first Kingdom Death set that is like I’ve been in my backlog. I mostly got it because I really wanted to paint the stuff, but now I’m thinking like maybe I give the actual game a shot.

And uh, man, I thought I saw Gathering of Heroes there, but I didn’t. What in the world? I don’t even play it. How did How did it not on the bookshelf? You know, there’s a lot of books that I got just cuz I like to kind of support uh indie authors doing their thing and I like to read over them.
