Warlord Games
Nottingham maker of historical and sci-fi miniatures in plastic, metal and resin, and publisher of Bolt Action and Konflikt '47.
Warlord Games designs, makes and sells historical and science fiction miniatures in plastic, metal and resin. John Stallard and Paul Sawyer started it in October 2007 after being made redundant from Games Workshop, and its first product was a boxed set of plastic Roman legionaries. Most of the work, from game and miniature design through sculpting, mould making, production and packing, happens in-house at its HQ in Nottingham.
Its flagship is Bolt Action, the 28mm World War II game, now in its Third Edition and published with Osprey Games. Konflikt ‘47, its weird-war alternate 1947, runs on an Order Dice system built from Bolt Action’s. Its other games include Black Powder, Hail Caesar, Pike & Shotte, SPQR, Cruel Seas, Victory at Sea, Blood Red Skies, Warlords of Erehwon and Beyond the Gates of Antares.
Free army lists, reference sheets and errata for its games live on the Warlord Community site.
