Spectre Miniatures

Nottingham studio making 28mm ultramodern miniatures and the Spectre Operations rules, plus the historical and horror books built on the same engine.

Spectre Miniatures makes “highly detailed, accurate and diverse” 28mm figures for modern warfare, along with 1/50 vehicles, guns and scenery. The figures are 3D printed, and it sells STL files too. The company ran its first Kickstarter in 2014 and was coming up on ten years old in 2023.

Its rules are Spectre Operations, with the Frontlines and Outbreak expansions and the historical spin-off Spectre: Out of Time. Its Lovecraftian skirmish game Cosmic Horror was Kickstarted in 2026. It also publishes Aftermath, a separate d100 post-disaster skirmish game, and its store carries games from Black Site Studios.

Spectre Operations

Spectre Miniatures' ultramodern skirmish rules. Special forces raids, covert infiltrations and insurgent firefights at 28mm, run on d10s and a Momentum pool, with historical and zombie spin-offs on the same engine.
