Mantic Games

Miniatures and games studio behind Halo: Flashpoint, the official Halo tabletop skirmish game, and the Warpath sci-fi games Deadzone and Firefight.

Mantic Games makes Halo: Flashpoint, the officially licensed Halo miniatures game, which came out in November 2024. Its rules grew out of Deadzone, Mantic’s own sci-fi skirmish game.

Deadzone and Firefight share Mantic’s Warpath universe and its factions. Deadzone is the small one: a strike team of 5 to 15 models fighting on a 2-foot board of 3-inch cubes, now in its Third Edition. Firefight is the bigger battle game, with squads, tanks and airships on a 4-foot table, and its Second Edition rules and force lists all sit in one book, Command Protocols. Both games have free getting started rules, and Mantic keeps the latest rules for each on the Mantic Companion.

Mantic also makes The Walking Dead: All Out War, a survival skirmish game based on the comics, which came back in 2024 after the licence was renewed.

Its fantasy mass-battle game, Kings of War, is in its Fourth Edition (2025). DreadBall, its sci-fi sports game, is out of stock as miniatures, but the core rules are still a free download.

Painted Deadzone miniatures among grey sci-fi city terrain: green-armoured troopers with rifles, a yellow-armoured rat-like Veer-myn creeping past a barrier, a vending machine and a stack of crates on a rooftop

Deadzone

Mantic Games' sci-fi skirmish game set in the Warpath universe. Small strike teams fight through quarantined cities on a grid of 3-inch cubes, so there are no tape measures, and a game takes around 90 minutes.
