Solo indie OSR studio. Publishes Kal Arath plus a steady catalog of dark-fantasy hexcrawls, micro-hacks, and adventure modules on itch.io and through a Shopify store.
Castle Grief is the indie tabletop banner behind Kal Arath, a sword-and-sandal OSR fantasy game built for solo, co-op, or GM’d play, and its growing line of supplements (Valley of the Black Ziggurat, Lords of the Pit, Twin Sun Sutra).
Outside Kal Arath, the catalog leans dark fantasy and OSR: hexcrawls (Calen March, Aelwine, Tereghat), Mörk Borg-adjacent adventures (Company of the Fading Star), mass-combat rules (KILLCHAIN), micro-hacks (Knightsblood), and an analog OSR zine (Black March). PDFs live on itch.io, physical zines and supplements ship through the Shopify store, and devlogs land on the Substack.
