The site is live with every vlog cleaned up and searchable, plus the start of an indie games directory. Also: cracking open a fresh Steamforged Warmachine box to see how the new peg-and-hole sprues actually fit together.
The Site is Live
What’s up, party people. Everything I’m doing today is either a video I already made or just base coating and other boring stuff, so I wanted to take today’s vlog to tell you I have finally updated my website.
It’s got every single vlog on it. All the transcripts pulled from YouTube, cleaned up, turned into non-garbage, actually readable posts. So every single one, all 200 and whatever we’re at, is now on the site and you can search it super fast. No ads, no nothing. Just the material, and hopefully a bunch of useful stuff.
The Indie Games Directory
I’ve also started going through and creating a directory of indie games. My dream is to have a website where you can go and find out everything you ever want to know about all these really cool indie games people are making. I’ve only got a couple in there so far. I’m going to try to add at least one or two every day and go hard, get as many of these little heartbreaker indie games that I’m falling in love with into the site so more people can find out about them.
I hope you guys like the site. Feel free to comment, give me feedback, give me some cool games you want to see in the directory.
My plan is that once I finish all these commissions this month, I’m going to pick games from the directory and do deep dives. In-depth, well-produced, how-to-play battle reports. Every month I’ll pick a different indie game to go hard into, and that’ll be what the channel is, hopefully.
Go check out the site. Thanks for being here. Appreciate all the support. We’ve gotten a ton of new subscribers recently, not sure why, but thanks for watching. I’ll see you tomorrow where hopefully we have some Infinity models that are done being painted.
A Sneaky Steamforged Unboxing
I wasn’t going to tell anybody I was working on this yet, I wasn’t quite ready, but I just opened this up, fresh out of a brand new box. There it is right there. I saw these parts and I was like, “Oh, of course, I got some busted up 3D printed parts from Steamforged Games.” Nothing too terrible.
Then I was like, “Dang.” This guy right here is my favorite model ever, I think. And he’s heavy, way heavier than a normally printed 3D model. I wonder what these are. These are the first batches of the new kind of models I’ve seen from them. Very nice, feels good, very awesome sculpt. Couple of supports, nothing crazy.
But look, it’s not broken. There is a hole there, and there is a nub here, and it slots in. Look at how genius that is. This is the part that definitely would have broken before, but now it just slots in and it’s glued. Same thing here, this is a part that would have broken, but it’s a peg and hole system. It goes right there. Look at how sick that is.
So awesome, Steamforged Games. You guys are sucking me back in.
Don’t think about this. This is far into the future. I’m just getting it built because I’m going to do a massive priming session today, probably. And don’t worry about Infernos, I sold them. Next time I play, it’s going to be these guys, because I’ve got a problem. Anyway, I just had to show how sick that was.
Now the Bad News
Let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this world. I was hyping them up, but they got my ass. No staff. I checked all the other bags in the box. So I guess I’ll be reaching out to them.
