Para Bellum
The studio behind Conquest, a dark fantasy miniatures range played two ways: the rank-and-flank mass battle game The Last Argument of Kings and the skirmish game First Blood. Both rulesets are free.
Para Bellum Games makes Conquest, a fantasy miniatures game set in the world of Eä. It comes in two forms that use the same miniatures: Conquest: The Last Argument of Kings, a rank-and-flank mass battle game, and Conquest: First Blood, a skirmish game. Models come off their stands to move between the two.
The studio says it develops and produces its games in the EU, and the rulebooks give its address in Larnaca, Cyprus. Stavros Halkias is its founder and creative director. The whole range is hard plastic, and the rules, army lists, army builder and companion app are free.
Conquest has ten factions: the Hundred Kingdoms, Spires, Dweghom, Nords, W’adrhŭn, Old Dominion, City States, Sorcerer Kings, Yoroni and Weaver Courts. Para Bellum also runs organised play and Living World events, where players can influence the setting’s lore.
