Mike Crutchett designed Verrotwood, a folk horror skirmish game released in 2023. It’s his first tabletop miniatures game. Before it he co-designed an iPhone game, Zombie Feast Frenzy.

He told Gardens of Hecate the game started with a piece of scatter terrain: an abandoned well, with a creepy little story written to go with it. He kept making terrain and stories, and the setting grew into a game. He did the rulebook layout himself.
