Failed attempt at NMM tutorial

So, I recorded a whole video on the non-metal metallic on this guy on the on the actual non-metal metallic, but uh I’ve lost it. I don’t know where it went. And uh I don’t know. It’s been It’s been a day. It’s been a a very very much a day.

And now I uh I don’t like have another model to paint to paint the non-metal metallic on. So, I don’t even I don’t know. I don’t know, but I painted I kept the hobby alive. I kept the video streak alive. I just painted lighter colors of gray mixed with white over and over again of where the light from my light source hit, you know?

Uh I’m still There’s still a little bit more to do. I got to like glaze in a little bit more, and I want to punch it up some. You know, so I’m I’m just grabbing some more of this white and mixing it in over here on my palette. I’m I’m intentionally drying the palette out uh just cuz I don’t want it to get like moldy like the the old one did. But, it’s uh I don’t know.

Uh Sometimes sometimes it’s just all you can do to get a couple of brush strokes in. I got a lot of brush strokes in though, actually. Like I got I got a whole hour of painting in in kind of sucks that I lost the footage, but here, this is This is what it looks like. We’re in the final stretch. Um I’ll do more on the on the weapon.

I’m just kind of like putting the the foundations in for the non-metal metallic right here. I want to come up here to the top trying to make it like a chromed out kind of vibe. Just picking out the very very edges of it. Keeping it in the black. I don’t want it to look very shiny, very fancy.

Uh I don’t know. I’m actually I’ve grown to really enjoy painting this guy, and I think I’ll probably pick up one for myself. Cuz this one’s a commission. And I think I definitely would enjoy painting it again for myself. Just to like I don’t know.

Like a lessons learned kind of thing. So, I think I’ll Not anytime soon. Definitely in the future. You know, I’m just kind of sketching right now. And that’s that’s the best part or the funnest part.

And then I’ll go back in and and glaze it over. That’s kind of the whole model I’ve just really sketched on. And kind of come back in. Got the collar. I need to do the shield, but I’m going to I just had an I’m going to actually airbrush the shield because I’m ready for this model to be done.

Uh I’ve got I’ve got to get the other ones. I have to get the other ones painted next week. You know, so this guy just got to be done. I think I probably have 100 hours into this guy at this point. And most of that was on the purple and the white and just redoing it over and over again.

Uh cuz I wasn’t happy with it. And now it’s just time to be done with it. You know? Time to be done with it. It’s time to go to bed.

Uh I’ll paint the face tomorrow. Airbrush the shield. Finish up the weapon thing. Uh I’ll see you then. Goodbye.
