Finally pulling Dark Sun cards from the 1992 AD&D box, plus mail day with a laser engraver, lathe, table saw, and picking up Sunrot at the LGS.
Transcript
Crazy day. I now have a laser engraver, laser cutter, small lathe, and a small table saw I wasn’t expecting. Most of my hobby time went there, so this is a quick video.
Dark Sun Cards Found
We finally pulled Dark Sun cards from the 1992 AD&D box. The numbering is wild—a Heartwood Spear at card 408 doesn’t even appear on my checklist, and Captain Kasil at 662 is labeled Dragonlance. I have no idea what was going on with their numbering system.
I hit a pack where the whole back half was Dark Sun cards, and I was right—the Dark Sun art is way cooler than all the other art. The Ravenloft ones have been great too. Nightmare, Strahd’s Skeletal Steed, Quickwood, Assassin Imp—some really cool pulls.
Highlights from the Last Packs
The final packs delivered some great finds: magical chariot, our seal druid Lyanna, a gist, and we closed out with a Ravenloft pack. Good way to end the box.
Other Pickups
Found Sunrot at an LGS—that’s the game by Totally Not Panicking/Smash Bash. Took the kids out to World’s Best Comics in Chesapeake, one of my favorite stores. First time the kids have been to that one.
Not feeling great today—something’s off. Tomorrow I’m playing Pillage, so need to rest up. Quick one tonight.
