Ordering the new Relic Blade plastic kits on launch day, locking in on Infinity commission painting with purple glazing and white panel work on Maximus.

This guy is so bright that even with all the lights off first thing in the morning, he pops. He turned out so good—you can actually see the paint job better with the lights off.
Relic Blade Drop Day
New Relic Blade plastic kits drop in 10 minutes, so I’m refreshing the page. Placed the order for Bone and Darkness—might be one of the first people to get the new stuff. This matters because I just finished printing all the objectives and cutting foam for the solo adventure mode. This project is going to kick off the next phase of the channel.
Getting Focused
That order starts a clock for me. I really need to knock these Infinity models out. Next week I’m getting up extra early and painting at least 4 hours a day. I want everything cleaned, organized, and the Infinity stuff done. The Normans should be quick—mostly chainmail, which I paint fast, and speed-painted fabrics. Once I get them primed, those will fly.
Painting Maximus
This model is probably the most meticulous I’ve ever painted. At first I wasn’t enjoying it, but now that I’m approaching the finish line, I’m really into it. Still working on the purples—approaching more hours than I expected.
Got the base coats done, then went in with super watered-down violet to pick out the white armor panels. Almost like panel lining in Gunpla—blending the shadows out. Now I’m glazing up the purple, doing rounds of layering then glazes over top. Going to stay locked in painting Maximus today.
